September 18, 2014

City of Sioux Falls

26 years

SMG has a 25+ year history of representing the City of Sioux Falls through the operation of a local Theater and Civic Center. SMG was selected through a competitive process early on in the project to provide pre-development, pre-opening and facility management services. SMG worked throughout the pre-opening process to on-board the appropriate staff, create awareness for the project among user groups, and to ensure the project was embraced by the local citizens of Sioux Falls.

The result: The Denny Sanford Premier Center has been a tremendous success for the City, creating the revitalization and economic stimulus that was intended. The Denny Sanford Premier Center is also self-supportive, generating a surplus of over $1.0 M annually.

Design and operations review involved providing input relative to food and beverage operations, tenant requirements, revenue enhancements, furniture, fixtures and equipment, purchasing services and important aspects of the functionality of the facility.
