HIGHLIGHTS

SMG took over management of the Wagner Noël in October of 2011. In a short time the Wagner Noël has become one of the busiest venues, of its size, in the country. The versatility of the venues allows for programming that can offer the combination of dinner or reception pre or post show.

The Facility is home to the only Broadway Series in West Texas and is successfully in its third season. For two seasons the Wagner Noël has been able to offer six major Broadway productions.

The Midland – Odessa Symphony & Chorale is a charter member of the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center.

The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center is home to the only purpose-built Symphony Concert Hall in West Texas. Additionally, the Rea-Greathouse Hall offers impeccable natural acoustics and telescoping seating offering a variety of seating options for recitals or other small musical events.

SMG along with our event partners continue to provide exceptional programming for children such as Kidz Bop, Veggie Tales and Yo Gabba Gabba. SMG has made events for children a priority.

Community outreach is key for SMG and in conjunction with UTPB; a reduced rental program was established to assist nonprofit organizations with the cost associated with hosting events at the Wagner Noël. The SMG staff participates in many local charitable and community organizations including:

  • IAVM (International Association of Venue Managers)
  • IAVM Public Assembly Facility Managers School
  • APAP (Association of Performing Arts Presenters)
  • SWPAP (Southwest Performing Arts Presenters)
  • Midland Convention & Visitors Bureau
  • Midland and Odessa Chamber of Commerce
